As of November 2023, homecare services have been closed! Keke has been FULLY vaccinated (Pfizer) and wants to get back to her goals/ambitions; although with new life circumstances, she is only available to do peer support. She will provide a screenshot, via email, to the families of those she is caring for until Ontario has its own passport system- once the homecare aspect begins. Unfortunately, restrictions of face mask will not be lifted within the care setting- please reach out to discuss this further. Parents and/or guardians will be allowed to enter the home. Below is the manner of which Keke will conduct herself with your children and those dropping them off/picking them up!
As of June 2022, COVID restrictions and requirements have been dropped. With this in mind, to ensure the safety of the children potentially in care, staff will still be using masks and doing regular cleans of toys and shared spaces. Attendance and check-in logs will be maintained, in the off chance there's an outbreak, we have the appropriate numbers to contact as per contact tracing.
Staff:
-Have a medical mask or facial covering on, during all hours of care.
-Ensure hands are being regularly washed and sanitized, before & after contact with a child and/or youth.
-Ensure surfaces and supplies (i.e; toys, blocks, etc) are sanitized and disinfected between each use and at the end of the day.
-Ensure the washroom is disinfected after every use!
-Keep a log of children that come in contact with one another, as well as maintain a contact sheet of all who enter the homecare (phone numbers, name, and location) & attendance.
-If staff member, Keke, is sick or presenting with any symptoms related to or similar to covid-19, parents will be called and notified. Also, the homecare will be closed for a minimum of two weeks, while quarantine and testing are carried out.
Children & Youth in-care (NO LONGER APPLIES AS OF JUNE 2022):
-Children under the age of 2, will be free to come without a mask or facial covering.
-Children and youth above the age of 2, will be asked to wear a mask or facial covering, unless there's a doctor's notes specifying why a mask isn't needed.
-Children will be sectioned into pairs, to avoid crowding, as well as maintain a healthy social bubble (with the care size being of four children or youth, including Keke's daughter, this will be manageable. It's difficult for children to remain 6ft apart, but we can instill healthy boundaries as to demonstrate the importance of space and respecting another's space)
-Children who are sick, for any reason (allergies included), must stay home until they're feeling better and/or a doctor's note has been provided.
-Children and youth will be asked to wash and/or sanitize at the beginning and end of each activity and snack prepared.
-Any children with symptoms of covid-19 will have to get tested as well as quarantine, prior to being allowed back into program.
Please be vigilant and stay up-to-date on the coronavirus pandemic, as well as preventative measures to keep yourself and families safe!💝🤗
